Interactive Design
The Interactive Design is a concept which concerns all the multimedia in general.Any project that requires some form of interaction by users is a project that belongs to this category.
The advent of the Internet has accentuated the user experience through interactive systems involving senses, and through internet websites and hightly interactive web applications (video, audio etc).
The interactive design closely concerns anything that appeal to an audience or user. It's not only about the internet, it's a various concept and is used in various fields. The most popular commercial ones are: in a exhibition, within a store, in an exposure at a trade fair, in commercial establishments, etc. within the institutions.
The instruments used are several: sensory materials (tactile, olfactory), touch screens, interactive kiosks and the most modern air touch and interaction 3D cam.
But in reality the interactive design can use various instruments: the purpose is to design an experience, a path, a procedure to involve viewers and users.
The essential step to take care of is the design of the user experience.
For example, a website that is estetically superlative but it's not designed according to concepts such as usability, will most probably fail. Only those experienced users, who understand the complicated navigation mechanism; will be able to approach it. Vice versa, in an interactive exhibition, whose main aim is to make the visitor understand a concept, it's necessary to work on the trail and on the perception of meanings through an immersive and immediate way.
The Interactive Design is alla around: it's a study that pushes, forces, encourages, explains, shows in many ways: descriptive, cognitive, explanatory, sensory.
The Interactive Design it's like the design concept: it includes hundreds of meanings and it's used in infinite situations.
Into our agency, interactive design is considered primary, because we used everyday.
Especially in SW development, the study of users iterations is essential. It's in fact impossible developing a dedicated software, without first having studied usability.
